Foundation Day
The roots of the "Condensate" Group of Companies (later
the CGC) traditions go back to traditions established by our main
and the oldest company SC "Condensate." Our company was
founded on June 29th, 1992 and this date has become a celebration
of the Foundation Day that helps unite hundreds of people from all
"Condensate" Group of Companies.
Every year,
on June 29th, hundreds of people from our companies and guests gather
at the Resort "Mechta" to celebrate the Foundation Day.
It is a full-day event where people from our organization not only
reflect on our business results from the previous year, but also
participate in various sports activities, as well as spend some
quality time with their fellow co-workers and family.
The Foundation
Day has gained popularity from the very start. Now, the preparation
for this day begins long time in advance. Many of our employees
actively participate in these preparations by volunteering their
time to various activities. For example, employees from the CGC
and "Mechta" resort have planted over 2000 trees and spent
many hours strengthening a coast of the Ural River around the resort
territory.
Resort "Mechta"
A
former pioneer camp located 25 kilometers north-east of Uralsk,
resort "Mechta" was acquired by the "Condensate"
Group of Companies in 1998. The territory of "Mechta"
covers 27 hectares and is located between the Uralsk River and the
Teploe Lake.
Major renovations
and efforts of our employees have turned "Mechta" into
a comfortable resort that became a local center for sports and entertainment.
The resort is open year-round, offering comfortable and inexpensive
accommodations and food services to our guests. Visitors to the
resort can participate in various activates such as playing volleyball,
swimming, fishing, hiking or they can rent sports equipment such
as roller-blades, water skis, cross-country skis, and skates. Spending
a weekend in resort "Mechta" is very popular among our
employees, their families, as well as many guests.
Major renovations
did not happen overnight - employees of the CGC contributed a lot
of time and energy to transform former abandoned pioneer camp into
a modern resort. Since 2000, every member company made their signature
"gift" that helped to make Mechta Resort into what it
is today, a comfortable place to relax and spend time with family
and friends:
- "Zhaikkurylys" LLP built water
slides on Teploe Lake that are popular among children and adults.
- SC "Uralskneftegazgeologia" made
the floating stage on the lake as well as the water wheel which
can be very refreshing during a hot day.
- SC "Uralskneftegazgeologia" financed
the development of the sports complex which is frequently used
for various sport and social activities.
- "Zhaiktrans" LLP built a floating
cafe, a boat dock and reconstructed an antique carriage used on
the territory of the resort.
- The employees of PSC "Aksaygazpromenergo"
built an illumination system for the resort's territory which
turns "Mechta" into a small lovely village after dark.
- "Zhaikmunai" LLP built an outdoor
cafe and a pool hall.
- Also, "Zhaikkurylys" LLP completed
the majority of civil constructions: a hotel, the Reception hall,
restaurant kitchens as well as a number of other utility rooms.
They also built a court for beach volleyball frequently used by
visitors from early spring to late fall.
Celebration of Foundation Day
The Foundation Day was officially celebrated for the first time
in 1999 on the territory of the resort. Since then, celebrating
the Foundation Day at the resort became a tradition among the employees
and guests of the "Condensate" Group of Companies.
Usually it
is a full-day event packed with various social and sport activities.
The territory of the report is beautifully decorated and prepared
for the holiday. The opening ceremony begins with a short summary
of the business activities for the past year and the results of
group-wide intramural Olympics where the winners are recognized
with various prizes. Then, employees and guests are invited to join
various social and sport activities or attend the folk concert.
Children have an opportunity to participate in the Children's Festival.
In 2000,
the employees of the "Condensate" Group of Companies celebrated
the Foundation Day for the second time. Every member company made
a considerable effort to make this day memorable. The event was
gaining popularity - over 1000 guests attended that year. During
the opening ceremony 27 employees who have been with the company
since the beginning, were awarded a "Condensate" commemorated
badge. A display of fireworks wrapped up the night marking eight
years since the birth of the company. This was the year the company's
slogan was born: "To believe. To Work. To Win".
In 2001,
the employees and the guests of the "Condensate" Group
of Companies celebrated the Foundation Day for the third time. The
resort had over 1700 guests that day. Five people were awarded the
commemorative badges.
The year
2002 was the most memorable - the "Condensate" was celebrating
its 10-year anniversary. The preparations for this day began almost
immediately after the Foundation Day of 2001. Many employees put
in considerable effort into preparations for the event to accommodate
the guests in a comfortable environment.
The "Condensate"
invited many guests for the Foundation Day - the original share-holders,
past and current partners, and representatives from the local government.
The resort had over 2700 visitors that day.
The day began
with the Opening Ceremony and the awards - 38 employees were awarded
the commemorative badges. The highlight of the event was the theatrical
show about the life of "Condensate". Enjoyed by many guests,
the floating stage show was played by the actors from a local theater.
Also, a number of local bands were invited to play at various locations
at the resort. The night was wrapped up with the 10 volleys of the
fireworks.
Other Traditions
Since 2001, we celebrate February 15 - the day Soviet Army entered
Afghanistan. We have a number of Afghanistan War Veterans working
for the "Condensate" Group of Companies. These men have
dedicated several years of their lives to serve their country. Our
veterans work hard and are held in high respect by their coworkers.
Museum
In 2002, when the "Condensate" turned 10 years old, the
Board of Directors decided to create a museum to capture the history
of our company for the future. All member companies actively contributed
to this task. Although the work is far from complete, today's collection
includes a number of displays about the history of the member companies
and a small exhibit. The museum became of interest not only to the
new employees of the company but also students from local secondary
and post-secondary institutions and the inhabitants of Uralsk.
