“Zhaiktrans”
LLP was formed by the “Condensat-Holding” LLP (Kazakhstan) and
First International Oil Corporation (USA), and registered on April
21, 1998 in Uralsk, West-Kazakhstan region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Zhaiktrans"
LLP owns the complex comprised of “Uralsk-Samara” oil pipeline
and Uralsk oil terminal. Total length of the pipeline is 236 km,
including 184 km within the boundaries of the Russian Federation
and 52 km within the boundaries of Kazakhstan Republic. The pipeline
begins at the Uralsk oil terminal and joins “Priboy” trunk pipeline
near Lopatino town in Volzhsk district (Samara region, Russian
Federation).
To secure the property rights on the territory of the Russian
Federation, “Zhaiktrans” LLP established a subsidiary in the city
of Samara. As a result, the pipeline section that lies within
the boundaries of the Russian Federation was transferred to the
statutory fund of the subsidiary.
Uralsk oil terminal is located seven kilometers to the northwest
from Uralsk in West-Kazakhstan region of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
and is a part of Rostoshi rural district of the Zelenovsk district.
Uralsk terminal has a territory of 32 hectares, with a concrete
fence along the perimeter. There is a tank farm with total volume
of 24,000 cubic meters, production and office building, building
and facilities of fire-fighting system, power plant, auxiliary
building and control room, local water supply and sewage networks,
railway loading rack for simultaneous filling of 20 tank-cars
and some facilities under construction.

In
future, main business activities of the company will be:

Receiving, accumulation and compounding of
oil;
-
Transportation of stock-tank oil over the
pipeline to the blending and preparation plant “Samara” and
farther over the pipeline system of the SC “Transneft” to exporting
seaports of CIS countries and to the west-European markets.
Currently,
the company provides receiving, temporary storage and loading
of crude oil to tank-cars for export, as well as shipping of diesel
fuel for agriculture industry.

Estimated
capacity of the pipeline is 1,100,000 tons a year. Main type of
raw material received at the terminal for subsequent shipping
will be crude oil from various fields of the West region of Kazakhstan.
The
following progress in completing "Uralsk-Samara" pipeline
has been made:
1999-2000:
-
Railway bend with a terminal stub station
is launched into operation.

Installation of railway loading-unloading
rack and separate supporting objects is completed.

Documentation was prepared for construction
of the terminal facilities and restoration of the linear section
of the pipeline on the territory of Kazakhstan.

Technical specifications are obtained for
connection of the “Uralsk-Samara” pipeline to the “Samara” blending
and preparation plant, placement of commercial unit for oil
measuring and quality monitoring, receiving-launching bunkers
of waste disposal facilities. Preparation works for engineering
diagnostics of the pipeline are under way.

In
2003, we have completed and launched facilities that are a required
minimum for operating of Uralsk oil terminal.
In
2004, we are planning to launch into operation the linear section
of the pipeline "Uralsk-Samara" along with supporting
objects of “Samara” blending and preparation plant. Our plans
also include a launch of the main pumping station at the oil terminal,
filling of the pipeline with merchantable product and carrying
out a trial run of the whole complex.

“Zhaiktrans”
LLP is actively cooperating “Stepnoy Leopard” LLP that are engaged
in oil extraction at Chinarev and Teplo-Tokarev oil fields; SC
“Condensate” and other companies of the “Condensate” consortium,
as well as with SC “Transneft” and its subdivision - SC “Privolzhsknefteprovod”
in Samara.

The
company has skilled employees for the full realization of its
development program.
Company
management renders various forms of support to employees willing
to upgrade their qualifications or continue education at colleges
and universities. Currently, 6 employees are studying at universities
in professions needed in our company.
"Zhaikmunai"
LLP especially encourages its employees to upgrade their skills,
when there is such demand by the production process. In 2001 and
2002, the following professions were mastered at the cost of the
company: boiling room operator - two employees; loading-unloading
operator - 12 employees.
While
training and retraining young specialists, our company doesn’t
forget about its veterans too: Nikolay Markin, Valeri Orlovski,
Anatoli Emelin and other employees of “Zhaiktrans” LLP. Based
on the examples of veterans, our younger employees learn not only
how to work, but also how to live.

Traditions
and Sports

Sports
activities are considered to be very important and being paid
a lot of attention at “Zhaiktrans” LLP. The slogan of the General
Manager “Life is in the movement” became a life credo for all
the employees.
"Zhaiktrans”
LLP employees actively participate in group-wide intramural Olympics
organized among the “Condensate” Group of Companies; and also
in city and district tournaments in various kinds of sports, where
they repeatedly won prizes in volleyball, mini-soccer, and cross-country
skiing.
Our
employees built a gymnasium, where finishing works are currently
under way. The gymnasium has equipment for table tennis, badminton,
checkers, chess, mini-soccer and basketball.
Both
work and sports are important for a young company and help us
to establishe traditions. We hold annual competitions among the
company employees for a General Manager’s prize, family holidays
and so on. This helps unite the company, create a positive environment
among company employees and their families.
